New for 2011. We have reproduced the 1966 GT-350 Mustang Hertz Magnum-500. Take off the standard mag-500 wheels that you have been driving on and replace them with the correct wheels with out having to hunt the junkyards or auto swaps. They are offered with the correct original outer and center cap in a 14×6 with a 3.75″ rear spacing.

Hot Rod Deluxe Photo Shoot

On Tuesday we made the trip down to the Wally Parks NHRA Museum in Pomona for a shoot with the crew at Hot Rod Deluxe. The plan was to shoot our newly completed ’32 roadster along with some of our product for a parts and appeal article in an upcoming issue. The shoot was awesome, and being shot inside the museum made for a great backdrop, plus the pinup model could not have been anymore perfect (see what I mean below). We show cased our always popular Street Rod Wire, along with our new 18″ Gennie, cast alloy Gasser, and new Artillery. Truck Trend’s ’62 F-100

Wheel Vintiques sponsors Truck Trend’s ’62 F-100! Matt Stone, editor of Truck Trend Magazine contacted us looking for a set of steel wheels for the project. We said heck ya, what do you want! After discussing the available options for the ’62, Matt decided to go with our 15″ Gennie with ’47-’48 Ford caps. We powder coated the wheels red, and boxed them up with a set of our trim rings, and shipped them out. The truck looks great, and we can’t wait to see the finished project. Wheel Vintiques will be at the 18th annual California Hot Rod Reunion, presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California, Oct. 16-18 at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif. It’s a 3-day festival of speed, hot rods and American automotive enthusiasm. It’s also the season finale of the NHRA’s Hot Rod Heritage nostalgia drag racing series.

Produced by the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California, and located in Pomona, Calif., the Reunion is part of the museum’s “living history” philosophy, which works to bring to life the sights, sounds and people who made history in the early days of drag racing, land speed racing and the golden age of American car culture.

Unique among motorsports events, the Reunion honors some of the top names in hot rodding from the past and features a fabulous array of cool drag cars, street rods and customs of the historic and present-day hot rod eras.

Road Tour Stop!

The Street Rodder Road Tour ‘09 stopped by Wheel Vintiques on Monday. The turnout was great, Jerry and about 30 fellow hot rodders showed up. Owner, Mike Stallings greeted the participants and invited them to take a personal tour of the facility showing how the wheels are made from start to finish. Afterwards everyone was treated to a catered meal from Chevy’s while checking out all the cool hot rods. Be sure to check the gallery below.

Dirty ’39 Project

Wheel Vintiques has teamed up with Classic Trucks Magazine to sponsor the “Dirty 39″ project! We were approached by Rob Fortier, editor of Classic Trucks Magazine about our NEW Artillery wheel. The project, a 1939 Chevy pickup, being built with retro styling in mind sounded extremely interesting. After discussing the project with Rob in more detail, we decided the ’39 would be a excellent candidate to showcase our New Artilleries. We also sent along a set of ’40′s Chevy hubcaps, they will complement the wheels beautifully. Look for the project in November 2009 issue of Classic Trucks Magazine.
